Discover accudxa2™ - Eight solid reasons for choosing the accudxa2
Model 7200 Bone Mineral Density Assessment System
The accudxa2 uses the best technology
For BMD assessment, accudxa2 uses DXA technology, the gold standard in bone densitometry.
The accudxa2 is a highly affordable BMD assessment system. Medicare pays $28 – $30 (CPT code 77081) per test. Plus, most private insurance companies reimburse slightly more – giving you the potential for a quick return on investment. The ease of use and short test time of the accudxa2 will help attract new patients.
Increased quality of care
The accudxa2 enables physicians to comply with National Osteoporosis Testing recommendations, and helps manage periodic osteoporosis screening for at-risk patients.
Scatter to the operator is only 1/15,000th of the weekly radiation exposure limit. Patient exposure is 0.0003 uSv or 1/150,000th of a typical chest x-ray.
The accudxa2 analyzes the finger, a site with over 50 years of clinical acceptance. accudxa2's low precision error (<1%) allows for the detection of changes over time.
Ease of use
The accudxa2's finger measurement procedure requires no messy creams or gels, and the patient does not need to remove any garments in order to take the test. The scan time is less than ten seconds, and the overall exam can be completed in two minutes. With its touchscreen front panel, accudxa2 is completely self contained and does not require an external computer.
The accudxa2 features a preset radiographic technique that cannot be changed by the operator. This allows anyone on the medical staff to operate the unit under the doctor's supervision. The unit's laser alignment positioning ensures accurate placement of the hand with every test. Plus, the Model 7200's increased computer memory provides added capabilities.

There are many accuDEXA 7100 and parts for sale on the internet. Some units feature touch screens with multiple lines (which indicates they are failing.) PLEASE NOTE: There are no parts availible for these units. Purchasing units that do not work or fail are of no value.
Lone Oak Medical Technologies continues to promote studies that compare the diagnostic accuracy of their peripheral Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DXA) bone densitometer with results from a central DXA exam of the femur neck.
Bone mineral density at one anatomical site (for example the hip) is not necessarily the same as at another site. No two sites agree diagnostically in all tests. Nevertheless, many studies have demonstrated clinically useful diagnostic agreement between peripheral and central skeletal sites, and have also demonstrated the clinical utility of peripheral D)(A measurements in fracture risk assessment.
