it is both a start up company and a company with individuals
who have a long history of success in the technology field.
It is true that the company was founded this
year for the purpose of building, promoting and repairing
the accuDEXA bone density measuring device but the founding
members have long history in this and related fields. The
original founders are listed below:
Alan R. Keim has a 40 year history in sales and management
in the field of medical equipment especially medical radiology.
Mr. Keim helped Schick design the original accuDEXA by providing
the hi frequency compact x-ray generator. This unit provides
a reliable accurate x-ray output time and time again.
David Comley has 25 years of unique
combined software and electronic background, the special
requirement that is needed to understand the workings of
software driven electronic devices such as the accuDEXA.
Mr. Comley has already found ways to improve the accuDEXA
software and you will be seeing these changes soon. In the
meantime, Mr. Comley is leading the effort to have shorter
turnaround times for repairs of existing accuDEXAs.
Jon Singer has a 25 year background
in mechanical engineering including a graduate degree from
the University of Pennsylvania Moore School Of Engineering.
Mr. Singer initiated the idea of using the finger to have
a simple and easy method to screening those patients with
a high risk of osteoporosis. Although measuring bone loss
by using the dual radiation energy absorb method was the
already established method at that time, it was Mr. Singer
who developed the precise measuring equipment and the software
algorithms to do these measurements precisely time after
time, and equally precisely between each machine.
